Integrity
Independence isn't a checkbox on the engagement letter. It's how we decide which clients to take on and which findings to write up.

We audit governments, donor-funded programmes and enterprises across Kenya and Somalia — with senior people on every engagement and documentation that stands up in Brussels, Washington and the Auditor General's chambers.

Amal was founded by CPAs who had spent years inside the institutions we now audit — the Kenya Auditor General's Office, IGAD's donor-funded programme portfolio, and county government budget directorates. We saw the same pattern repeat: reports that read well but didn't hold up when the money was traced.
We built the practice around a different bar. Every engagement is planned to a written programme, staffed with senior people who go on site, and reviewed by a partner before it leaves the firm. That's why our reports get accepted by donors in Brussels and Washington without follow-up queries.
Fifteen years in, we serve governments, NGOs and businesses across Kenya and Somalia — from statutory audits of sovereign states to the day-to-day tax and accounting work of family-owned businesses that have been with us for seven years and counting.
Three words on the wall of every firm. Here's what they mean at ours.

Every file is planned to a written audit programme and reviewed by a partner. Quality is documented, not assumed.
We stay with clients through the difficult conversations — the KRA notice, the donor query, the board challenge. That's what the relationship is for.
A small, senior team is the point. You'll meet the same partner in the pitch, on site, and in the board debrief.
